Certificates
Third-party certification bodies provide independent confirmation that Rolling Wireless and our manufacturing partner meet the requirements of all relevant global quality standards.
Rolling Wireless is ISO 9001:2015 and Automotive SPICE® (A-SPICE) certified. Rolling Wireless has also defined a strategic certification roadmap, with a target to achieve ISO 26262 certification for road vehicles — functional safety, ISO 21434 certification for cybersecurity risk management, and TISAX (Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange) certification for automotive information security management.

ISO 9001:2015
The scope of our ISO 9001:2015 certificate is the design, development, support, and fabless manufacture of wireless communications for the automotive market. Under the previous brands Sierra Wireless and Wavecom, the company has held ISO 9001 certificates since 2006. All locations worldwide work according to one common process framework.

Automotive SPICE® (A-SPICE) Level 2
Based on the ISO/IEC 15504 standard, a design and assessment framework for software development processes, Automotive SPICE® (A-SPICE) defines best practices for embedded software in automotive development. Rolling Wireless is A-SPICE Level 2 certified, and targets Level 3 certification by the end of 2022.

Factory certificates
As a fabless company, Rolling Wireless outsources the NAD manufacturing process, which includes fabrication, assembly, testing and distribution, to our manufacturing partner Flex Ltd. in its facility in Suzhou, China Mainland. The factory holds the following certificates:

ISO 9001:2015
Flex has held ISO 9001 certificates since 2003. The scope of its ISO 9001:2015 certificate is the manufacture of printed circuit board assemblies and box build assemblies.

The IATF 16949:2016 specification provides for continual improvement, emphasizing defect prevention and the reduction of variation and waste in the automotive industry supply chain and assembly process. Flex has held IATF 16949 certificates since 2004.

VDA 6.3 2016
Developed by the German trade association for the automotive industry and German automotive OEMs, VDA 6.3 defines a process-based audit standard for evaluating and improving controls in a manufacturing organisation’s processes. Flex has been VDA 6.3 certified since 2016.
