Failure Analysis and 8D
Failure analysis and 8Ds are key inputs for the continuous improvement of Rolling Wireless’s product and process robustness and quality, with a 0 defect target.
Our factory FA and field return FA processes are geared for immediate response and action, with a 3 days/3 weeks target:
- Preliminary analysis completed in 3 days with containment (as applicable)
- Final resolution or conclusion on root cause in 3 weeks
Our Quality Escalation process ensures capitalization on the failure analysis and 8D performed in relation to failures at customer or internally.
Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
To ensure all quality requirements are met for the automotive NADs we supply, Rolling Wireless has adopted the APQP process.
Automotive Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
Rolling Wireless uses the standardised Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) to demonstrate that our design and production processes meet our customers’ requirements.
We provide PPAP documentation for all active products released to the market on request. Our PPAP documentation is generated according to the Automotive Industry Action Group’s (AIAG) “Production Part Approval Process [PPAP] Manual,” 4th edition.
