Rolling Wireless Expands Budapest R&D Centre Adding Hardware and Firmware Development to Existing Software Expertise

Expansion continues in the space of three years after successfully opening a European R&D centre in Hungary, having recruited over 40 positions and delivering best-in-class software solutions for automotive wireless connectivity.

As the leading global supplier of cellular network access devices (NADs) for the automotive industry, Rolling Wireless is advancing its global research and development capabilities by enlarging its European R&D centre in Hungary.

Working in close collaboration with the company’s global R&D and Product Marketing teams, the Hungarian engineering team has built three software platform teams, harmonized Scrum with ASPICE, and set up a hardware-in-the-loop CI/CD system. All development stages from design to testing are handled locally.

The existing development site in Budapest will be transformed into a fully-fledged development centre, with both hardware and firmware development being added to the existing software expertise, further reinforcing the company’s global R&D footprint.

“We will increase the team in Hungary from 40 employees today to 100 by 2026,” said Andreas Kohn, Chief Operating Officer at Rolling Wireless. “By expanding our development capabilities in Hungary, we will have two fully-fledged development sites, one in Europe and one in Asia, that shorten response times and increase efficiency in supporting our partners in the regions.”

Rolling Wireless is actively recruiting in the Budapest metropolitan area. To view open positions and apply, visit the recruitment page.
