What brought you to Rolling Wireless, and what do you do here?
I’ve always been passionate about two things: electronic gadgets and building systems – whether it’s software architecture or organizational structures. Joining Rolling Wireless felt like a perfect match, as I get to pursue both interests in a meaningful way.
How would you describe your role to someone outside your industry?
I lead a team that helps make connected cars safer and more convenient for users.
What’s one part of your job that people might not expect?
People often assume a software development manager only deals with code, but I actually spend a lot of time working with people through coaching, aligning, and communicating. Also, thanks to Rolling Wireless’ rapid growth, I’ve unexpectedly become quite familiar with the office real estate market in Hungary!
What skills do you use most often in your work?
Attention to detail, empathy, and systematic thinking are essential in my role.
How do you stay aligned with other teams or departments?
Our Software Platform teams follow a standard Scrum framework, with daily stand-ups, backlog refinements, and sprint planning. We work closely with Product Marketing, who represent our clients internally. Together, we define features and shape the roadmap on a daily basis.
How do you stay up to date in your field?
I’ve always been a self-learner. Recently, I’ve been diving into management books and exploring new programming languages during longer breaks. Over the Christmas holidays, I enjoy tackling Advent of Code challenges. I also keep up with industry news in both software and automotive sectors.
What are you currently working on improving or learning?
We’ve reached a point where we can reliably deliver roadmap items on time. Now, the focus is on improving efficiency and raising the quality of our output.
What’s a skill you’ve developed since joining the company?
Rolling Wireless is a small but truly multinational company. I’ve learned a lot about cultural differences and how people from various backgrounds approach problem-solving.
What’s one thing about the company culture that stands out to you?
There’s a strong sense of teamwork here. Everyone is focused on shared goals, which creates a very collaborative atmosphere.
How does the team support each other during busy periods?
We rally together by sharing knowledge, redistributing tasks, and helping each other meet deadlines. It’s a very supportive environment.
