Software Project Manager

Rolling Wireless is an international company with 20+ years of experience in developing cellular modems and software for automotive market. We are worldwide the largest 2nd Tier supplier of cellular modems to the automotive industry.

We are hiring a Software Project Manager in Shenzhen.

Position / Assignment Purpose
  • Create high quality and maintain up-to-date software project development plan. Consolidate the delivery plan from other software components, and follow through in a multi-site development environment
  • Lead the project team (both direct and in-direct reports), deliver software milestones (code release, documentation) on-time, without scope reduction and meeting quality targets
  • In-time and accurate software development status report. Collect metrics data, report on project progress and any project specific information to partners and internal stakeholders
  • Proactively identify important issues and project risks, take actions to mitigate
  • In-time and flexible on priority adjustment based on project’s dynamics
  • Make sure development process is followed by the team
  • Communicate with marketing, customer project manager and other stakeholders on software project planning, status, risks and recommendations
Required Experience
  • 8+ years working experience with 3+ years as a project manager in a complex multi-location environment
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience on embedded software development, preferably in mobile telecommunication devices
  • PMP certificate 
Required Skills and Competencies
  • Familiar with embedded software development procedures
  • Familiar with mobile telecommunication
  • Good project management skills: planning, monitoring & control, communication etc.
  • Excellent people & collaboration skill is required
  • Proactive self-starter, able to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Multi-tasking, able to work efficiently under high pressure
  • Systematic and logical thinker, quick action taker
  • Fluent verbal and written English
