Certification Engineer

Rolling Wireless is an international company with 20+ years of experience in developing cellular modems and software for automotive market. We are worldwide the largest 2nd Tier supplier of cellular modems to the automotive industry.

We are hiring a Certification Engineer in Shenzhen.

Position / Assignment Purpose
  • Responsible for management of Regulatory certification (CCC/SRRC/NAL/CE/FCC/GCF/PTCRB, etc.)
  • Responsible for management of operator certifications (such as AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Vodafone, Telefónica), including progress and risk management
  • Responsible for product certification preparation and related maintenance
  • Responsible for staying up to date on certification-related laws and regulations that must be implemented to meet compliance
  • Cooperate with global Certification team (currently based in USA). Responsible for reporting and forecasting, workflow overviews, workload distribution, and coordinating with divisional certification teams.
  • Collaborates and builds trust within the organisation and with customers to meet or exceed their expectations
Required Education
  • Degree/Diploma graduate, preferably in Telecommunication or Electronics Engineering. 
Required Experience
  • 3+ years of experience as Carrier Certification, Conformance, Interoperability Development, Test or Wireless Systems Test Engineer
  • Experience with regulatory requirements and process for wireless consumer devices, including CCC, SRRC, NAL, CE, FCC, PTCRB, CTIA, ETSI, TIA/EIA, etc. 
  • Hands-on experience executing these certification test plans is a plus
Required Skills and Competencies
  • In-depth understanding of and compliance with established policies and documentation requirements for products required for overseas markets and to gather, verify and maintain all certification of existing and new products. 
  • Willing to take morning and night meetings as necessary to be able to lead and communicate with international teams (teams based in Americas, Europe, and Asia). 
  • Excellent communication skills required, both written & verbal. 
  • Be able to summarise and provide clear problem statements with data and details. Provide suggestions on improvements.
