Interview with Iñigo Leturia, Customer Success Engineering Director

At Rolling Wireless, we're building the future of connected cars, and it all starts with the people behind the technology. In this spotlight interview, we speak with Iñigo Leturia, Customer Success Engineering Director, about how his team enables wireless connectivity in cars, and why adaptability and creativity are essential in his role. From supporting customers worldwide to fostering collaboration across teams, Iñigo offers a candid look into growth, innovation, and what makes Rolling Wireless such a unique place to work.

What brought you to Rolling Wireless, and what do you do here?
I’ve always been passionate about connecting people and objects, so joining a company where the main objective is to connect cars to a wider ecosystem while prioritizing safety felt like a natural step in my career.

How would you describe your role to someone outside your industry?
My team helps customers enable wireless connectivity in cars, allowing them to connect to the internet, other vehicles, and the wider world. This makes driving more practical, increasingly autonomous, and, most importantly, safe.

What’s one part of your job that people might not expect?
The funny situations we sometimes find ourselves in while developing, testing, and demoing new technologies. For example, security guards have mistaken our products for dangerous drones during field tests, so we’ve had to work hard to convince them not to confiscate our unique prototypes! Or designing small demo cars out of cardboard to make early product samples more engaging to showcase. Improvisation and creativity are always essential.

What skills do you use most often in your work?
Beyond technical knowledge, the ability to listen and adapt to diverse customer requests is critical. Every customer has a different way of working and a unique approach, which doesn’t always align with what we expect. Adapting to these realities and finding ways to navigate and progress positively is a key source of motivation for me.

How do you stay aligned with other teams or departments?
One of the main reasons I enjoy working at Rolling Wireless is the strong team spirit. I’d even describe it as a small family: open-minded, collaborative, and always positive. This culture is part of Rolling Wireless’ DNA and helps us move forward together, especially during the most challenging phases of a customer project.

How do you stay up to date in your field?
Self-learning and curiosity for new technical challenges have always driven me. In our ecosystem, we constantly face new technologies, features, and technical requests, which is intellectually stimulating but can also sometimes make staying up to date complicated. Fortunately, we have a very knowledgeable team at Rolling Wireless who are always ready to help and share expertise. Everyone learns from each other: it’s challenging but enriching!

What are you currently working on improving or learning?
We’re expanding the number of customers we support, which is very positive. However, this also means growing the team and the range of technologies we need to handle. One of my main priorities right now is ensuring we scale effectively to adapt to these exciting (but challenging) changes.

What’s a skill you’ve developed since joining the company?
The ability to work and adapt to different people, cultures, and ways of working is the one I’d highlight. It’s tricky but essential at Rolling Wireless, as we collaborate with teams and customers worldwide.

What’s one thing about the company culture that stands out to you?
The teamwork and collaborative spirit really stand out. People are always willing to help, and that makes a huge difference.

How does leadership support your growth?
Our leadership consistently recognizes and leverages the unique strengths of each team member, showcasing them in ways that inspire learning across the entire team, including myself. It serves as a continuous source of motivation and development.
